Star Wars The Force Awakens

The new Star Wars The Force Awakens film was entertaining and humorous at times, but left me a bit frustrated and puzzled. I did enjoy seeing past familiar characters from past episodes popping up here and there, and the added humor (that lacked in the others) kept this film amusing. With all that said, I was disappointed and frustrated with the lack of back stories to some of these characters. Look, I don’t need wasted film time spent on an elaborate back story in every situation, but I certainly... View Article

website usability

If users get lost on a website, they leave. If a website’s information is hard to read or doesn’t answer users’ key questions, they leave. If the users get confused they leave. Okay, you probably get the idea by now that website usability is extremely important. Current best practices for website usability call for setting aside 10-20% of your design budget on usability. outsource mobile app development

While many companies can sustain internal development teams to handle their ongoing business systems, they often can’t find the capacity or specific experience for every project. More times than not a business executive will need to be the voice of reason because most software engineers and managers take great pride in keeping all development in house. Unfortunately, the business initiative may have... View Article

Startups

As cliche as this phrase sounds “If a startup was easy, then everyone would do it” it is true. That is because ideas are easy and implementation is hard. Just about everyone throughout their life has had a good idea or two, but never executed, or failed to properly execute on their idea. Successful startups aren’t about ideas, they are about making ideas happen. It takes a lot of time, effort, work ethic, and persistence. So saying your next few years might be a bit rough is... Steve Jobs

For those of you that know me, I am a huge Steve Jobs fan. I have read just about every book about him, and seen every movie (as far as I know) that centered their focus around him. I am a fan of a lot of what Steve Jobs stood for, and appreciated his unique approach and focus to just about everything he did. There is a lot we can learn from Steve Jobs, and not just the tech geeks out there, but everyone. Here... View Article
